PLATATAC SMAC 3 Slick Plate Carrier

The SMAC 3 is the latest iteration in Platatac’s best-known plate carrier series. Originally designed and manufactured in response to a SOCOMD requirement, this philosophy has remained throughout the different versions with key improvements each time. The SMAC 3 brings a more modular approach to the SMAC system, with adaptability and flexibility as the cornerstone of the system.

The Slick version offers the operator a lightweight simplified option, perfect for missions where weight considerations are a high priority. Large colour-matched loop fields allow for ID, unit, flag or IFF patches. Two vertically oriented MOLLE rows on the front are for mounting the included QASM buckles or G-Hooks to assist in attaching mag placards. The mag placards help sandwich cummerbunds to the SMAC 3.

The rear of the SMAC features a large colour-matched velcro loop field allows for ID, unit, flag or IFF patches. A velcro-secured drag handle at the top is designed to be easily deployed without causing any snagging issues. The rear cummerbund loop field is covered by a flap that doubles as a second level of securing an armour plate

The SMAC is lined with air mesh which helps to evenly regulate body heat. Internally the plates are secured in place with an adjustable velcro strap, as well as having a velcro flap along the entire base.

Sizing

The SMAC 3 Slick is sized based on the plate size, not your body size. The SMAC 3 carriers can accommodate various threat-level standalone HAIs as well as HAIs in conjunction with soft armour backers.
